Various delegations call on LG Ladakh Various delegations called on Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), here today. A delegation led by Chairman, Coordination Committee, Shakar Chiktan, Kacho Shameem Ahmad called on LG Mishra and urged him to recommend the creation of new district to Chiktan-Shargole to the Government of India. Another delegation from LAHDC, Kargil comprising Executive Councillors, Kacho Mohammad Feroz, Aga Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi, Zakir Hussain and Councillors called on the HLG and urged him to include Purgi/Balti as one of the official languages of UT Ladakh along with the other official languages. A delegation from Karkitchoo village also called on LG and requested for GI Tagging for Karkitchoo apple. They also demanded for lift irrigation for the apricot and apple cultivation at Khumbuthang Karkitchoo. Representatives from Kargil Literary Society also called on LG requested to include Purgi/Balti as one of the official languages of UT Ladakh. |
