EJAC appeals employees’ bodies to join hands for struggle




JAMMU: J&K Emplo-yees Joint Action Committee (R) has appealed to various employees bodies to come on single plate form and launch united struggle for the issues of the employees. Talking to the media-persons here today, Babu Hussain Malik, president of the EJAC said that there was urgent need to come on one platform and wage united struggle by all the employees associations/ unions for their common cause. He said that for the last several months, trade unions are being ignored. There is no body to listen to the genuine and justified demands and issues of the employees. He said a string voice is the need of the hour. The like minded union leader smush sit together and devise strategy to launch common programme.

While projecting issues of the employees he demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre/ amendment in SRO-333; notionally benefits with effect from 1996 and montetary from Feb 2003 as per High Court directions , restoration of two additional increments; regularization of daily wagers/ contractual/ adhoc/ casual workers; pay grades as per central Govt pattern, regularization of 10+2 contractual lecturers/ teachers, 5 day working in all the offices , enhanx cement of Medical allowance for employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month and abolition of SRO-202.
Senior Trade unionists, Yashpal Sharma, Kulwant singh, Naresh Sharma, Arun bakshi, Vikas Chander and others also accompanied.
